So, mattes and bold colors are trending this year. Kinda odd if you think about it? Two shades that are on the opposite spectrums are trending and in a big way!
Recently, I had the honor to have enough money to do some splurging (and believe me, both colors were splurges) to go drop some cash at the local Sephora. Let’s check out NARS first.
I’m a huge NARS fan. I love their concealer, their tinted moisturizer, their bronzer…hell, I just love them. In my opinion, NARS can’t do any wrong. I noticed they came out with a few new nude shades and I was tempted.
You know how when you see the last of something, even if it’s something you weren’t originally trying to purchase, you’re compelled to get it because obviously it has to be good if it’s the last one? (Don’t act like I’m the only one that does that!)
So, as I stopped by the NARS section, I noticed they only had one box left of Area. Curious, I did the sample tester inside the Sephora store:
Of course, everything looks amazing inside the store but how does it look outside?
Not bad!
Of course, I can’t leave this post without the pros and cons:
Pros:
- NARS is a trusted brand.
- It glides on smooth.
- No funky smell.
- It lasts a long time without the need to reapply. (I say a couple of hours.)
- Really compliments my skin tone.
Cons:
- It’s hella expensive; NARS is an expensive brand.
I do recommend if you have some cash to drop! The Velvet Lip Guide is around $26.00 so this is definitely a splurge!
[…] While I have boasted about my love of NARS, I love a good dupe. I love saving money. […]
